Google Customized Search

My students are about to start a big project on Ancient Egypt.  I developed a Google Customized Search engine to help them narrow their searches and ensure appropriate information.  It is so easy to make.  Click the link and then search for anything on topic!

WELCOME!

Welcome to the first post of Tech4P4!
This is a place for P4 teachers to find resources and help solve any issues you might be having.   The idea for this blog came from one of our professional development meetings.  We were learning about the SmartBoard and places to gather pre-made lessons that we can modify to make them appropriate for our students.  One of the teachers lamented that we did not have a "go to" place to find the resources we need and that we all waste a lot of time sifting through subpar websites and lessons.  So, here we are!  Please write comments and ask questions to make sure we are covering the topics that you need and want to learn about.

Let's start with the basics!
Below are a few of the things we all know how to do but often forget!

  • We have begun sharing information through Dropbox. Here is a quick tutorial on how to use Dropbox.

  • Many of our students are using Raz-Kids.  Here is a correlation chart for Raz-Kids Reading Levels so we know if they are on the right level

  • A really quick way to find out if a student's bus has changed is to go to the OPT website. All you need is his/her OSIS # and birthdate.  Its as easy as that! Here is the link:                                                                                      OPT Student Bus Routes
